Christian Development
Committee
The Christian
Development Committee is a group of individuals who plan the programs and events
that provide arenas for our community to come together in faith and friendship.
New members are always welcome. We meet the 4th Tuesday each month from
September to June at in the Upper
Room.
At
St. Paul's
United Church, our community is
revered. With adult education opportunities, a vibrant Sunday School program
and several general interest workshops and events, St.
Paul's is a place where
fellowship flourishes during individual exploration of faith.
The Sunday
School is offered every week at 10:30. The exciting
curriculum "Seasons of the Spirit" allows the children opportunities to learn
the Bible and live their faith as caring and productive members of their
community. Some of our events
this year in the Sunday School included the Christmas Play “You’ve Got Mail”
where every child participated in the story, and special Easter
activities.
A Nursery and
Toddler Room is staffed by caring volunteers during the service. The
Nursery/Toddler Room was revamped this year with new crib, change table, toys
and nursing area. The children love the bright colours and
toys.
The Junior Youth
Group (grades 7 and 8) meet regularly during church service. They plan their own
social events and assist with Sunday School and church special events.
The Senior Youth
Group (grades 9-12) meets and this year visited other communities of faith in
our Brampton community to share
fellowship and understanding.
Church fellowship
activities include special events such as the always popular Biblical Ice Cream
Parlour, spaghetti dinner and the Family March Break Skate.
Adult education
opportunities such as a Bible Study group this past Fall focusing on Genesis,
and The Reading Group which chooses interesting books that are thought provoking
and interesting, are some of the Adult learning opportunities we provide based
on feedback and ideas brought forth by St
Paul's members. We have
had a parenting expert lead seminars on Internet safety and helpful advice on
how to raise our children in this changing world.
The CD committee
provides thoughtful opportunities for us to come together. We can we live our
faith more fully beyond worship through participation in the life and work of
We warmly
